Overview

This course is aimed at those seeking Advanced Soil Management and specifically vineyards implementing the Wine GB Sustainability Guidelines to ‘Maintain and Improve Soil Health’.

Timing: Eleven video lessons of approximately 20 -30 minutes.  Lessons are mainly video with some supporting documentation.

Experience level required: Intermediate – some extended experience in vineyard soil management operations is highly desirable.

Completing this course will help you:

Understand how different vineyard sites and soils may influence appropriate choice of soil management systems and related practice and differentially influence vine vigour, productivity and longevity as well as fruit quality. The course will allow participants to address regional and site specificities in defining key factors driving their soil sustainability planning, and selection of management practices appropriate to different site and management demands.
