Using state-of-the-art Geographic Information Systems Vinescapes can map and model the terrain of prospective vineyard sites, and their surrounding area, at ultra-high resolution (down to 0.5 x 0.5m). We use satellite and air-born derived digital elevation data to model elevation, aspect, slope angle, cold air flow, and hill shading across parcels of land. These tools aid in identifying viticulture and varietal suitability and acute site risks such as cold air accumulation zones, helping us deliver highly valuable and informative site recommendations.
