THE WORKSHOP

From the microscopic bugs to the mega beasts – all contribute to losses of vineyard productivity or increases in production costs.  Prevention is always better than cure and recognising early signs can make management more effective and efficient.

Learning objectives

By the end of the workshop attendees should be able to:

  • Identifying the common pests and diseases
  • Evaluate monitoring methods to anticipate danger periods, threats and risks
  • Have an awareness of some of the novel pests and diseases on the horizon
  • Evaluate the management and control options for common problems
  • Understand the economic threshold
